Ans :

There are majorly two types of metabolic processes. One is catabolic , the other is anabolic.

The catabolic processes break down the complex molecules into simples ones , with the release of energy in the form of ATP.

The anabolic process is exactly opposite of catabolic process ,as it uptakes energy in the form of ATP to make biomolecules.

Example of anabolic process is glucose synthesis in plants .

These processes are generally reductive as they use ATP to produce large molecules, which can be later oxidised to release energy.
