While it is true that social media helps us stay connected with people across the world and makes communication easy , there are some disadvantages of social media which makes communication problematic. It cannot convey the emotions of the person they want to convey and hence the other person might not understand what they want to say completely . Social media also makes people addicted such that they do not bother real life communications and meetings which makes them less social. Social media is the reason for many misunderstandings of people in real life as they do not know whom they communicate to online and this might reflect on those people when they come face to face. Social media is easy to plant misunderstandings between people as anyone can use an account in the name of other person . People need to understand that excessive use of social media is making them distant from the people around them and social media is also a tool used by people to create misunderstandings. They need to prefer direct communication which helps them convey what they want to exactly in their own words and emotions. People need to use social media only for connecting with distant ones and must not use it excessively .
