Introduction

What a company is in itself is not only because of the employees but also the leaders that make it work.Leaders and their leadership skills play an important role in the growth of any organization. Leadership refers to the process of influencing the behaviour of people in a manner that they strive willingly and enthusiastically towards the achievement of group objectives.

The organisation may have a lotful of talent in it's employees but what needs to be done and how it needs to be done is the key role decided by the leader. A team without a true leader is nothing but scattered beads of skill that need to be brought together to move forward. A leader is one who knows the way,goes the way and shows the way. He/She is road for the employee to take to reach their destination and motivate them to help in achieving the organizational objectives. . But a leader should have the ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with the followers or subordinates.

Research

Research suggests that Leadership and the different associated styles have an immense impact on how employees perform and grow, to lead positive organisational outcomes. For ages, Leadership has been a subject of much debate and deliberation and how the different styles of leadership evoke different responses from followers. In corporate context the dynamics of these two entities 'the leader" and "the led" play a key role in shaping the destiny of the organisation. The global financial crisis has resulted in a wave of unprecedented challenges to the world‟s economic &political order. In a situation of turbulence, the one key factor that can make a difference, through foresight and dexterity, is Leadership.

The imperative need to discover, comprehend and ensure employee motivation has become a principal concern for organisations and managers because employee motivation has been, and will be the deciding factor in work performance, success or failure of an organisation.

We will try to incorporate sessions on "How important leadership is" and what wholely is covered within leadership so that the managers get full insight and guide the employees better.

Also a leader should have the ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with the followers or subordinates.So we will try to conduct personal communication classes and bonding sessions between the employees and the manager so that they get to know each other better.

Conclusion

The Leadership of the managers has a positive impact on the level of Organizational commitment of employees but at the same time a leader should also maintain good interpersonal relations with the followers or subordinates. There is a need for leaders and one cannot deny that but there also needs to be balance between the assertiveness and leadership in the leader for employee job satisfaction is also important.
