Answer #1

Radius of Mars, R = 3400 km = 3400 x 10^3 m

Solar day for Mars, T= 24.6 hours = 24.6 x 60 x 60 s

It means, Mars completes one complete rotation in 24.6 x 60 x 60 s.

One complete rotation = 2 x pi radians.

Hence, angular speed of Mars, w = (2 x pi) / (24.6 x 60 x 60) = 7.093 x 10^-5 rad/s = 7.0 x 10^-5 rad/s

Therefore, option (c) is the correct answer.
