Answer- b - humidity and temperature.

As it is mentioned the plant is endemic to puerto rico , meaning it is found just commonly in that region . It might be due to the climate , soil and other external factors . An endemic plant will have best growth in its natural habitat to which it is adapted . Changing the habitat affects the dependant variable which is growth.
