Concepts

  • Cross-sectional data: The data set is cross-sectional when we analyze the data from one specific time period
  • Time series data: The data set is called time-series data when we analyze the data over a range of time
  • Nominal scales:We use nominal scales for labeling variables that are of no quantitative value. For eg: shirt color: Red, Blue, Black
  • Ordinal scales: In the case of ordinal scales the order is important but we don't know the differences between each of them. For eg: 1-Not satisfied, 2- No effect, 3- Satisfied. The order is important but we can't say how much satisfied is 3 compared to 1
  • Interval: In this case, we know the order and also the difference but we don't have a true zero. For eg, temperature
  • Ratio: We have an order, difference and a true zero as well

Solution

Since we have the data over a period of time (from 2017-02 to 2017-07), the data is time series

So, Option D is the correct answer

Since the values are quantitative, has an order, difference and a true zero, it is a Ratio data

Please let me know if you have any doubts. Happy to help. Please thumbs up if you like the solution. Thanks
