b) A simply supported rectangular beam 300mm wide by 600mm deep spans 6.7m clear distance between 300mm thick wall and carries a characteristic permanent action of 20.5 KN/m and an imposed load of 8.5KN/m. Assuming grade 32 concrete, high yield reinforcement of grade 500, 8mm links of grade 250, 20mm cover, 20mm longitudinal steel 

(i) Determine the ultimate load  (4 marks)

(ii) Moment reinforcements in the concrete section  (10 marks)

(iii) Shear reinforcement in the concrete section (5 marks)

(iv) Detail the beam section (2marks)
