Believing that the need for diversity in our society is the correct applied ethical system. You currently face a mob of people who are desperate and grieving. They believe they are victims in a myriad of ways. Each wants access to your phone center and believe they have a right as an under-represented group to go in first. Fights have broken out and you must now make a choice, divide the people into racial and ethnic groups, or attempt to keep the group integrated and deal with the unrest. How would you manage the problem? If you choose to separate the groups, how would you prioritize who used the center first?

It is one thing to uplift the under represented people and other thing to take advantage of the fact that one is under represented and so the eventual power should come to him. What has been projected in the above scenario is the fact that some under represented group wants to enter the center first as they feel they have been deprived of things in the past. This is not the correct approach. All the communities should be treated equally and provided all equal access. They decision to chose should be taken when equal opportunities are granted to all groups. In this case, i would first try to address the mob with the help of law authorities and ask them to maintain peace. Then i would ask them to stand united as this unrest will not be helpful to anyone. We would begin with listing out the needs of each group and then deciding on the entry to the center.
