Data represent the numerical value which is hardly understandable for the general reader. But after analysis of data, it can be represented in a tabular as well as a graphical form which can be easily understood. Suppose you have marks of ten students and after analysis, you found that the average marks of the students are 50. Hear the actual marks of each student is data whereas the average marks are information which makes a clear sense to the general people.

The data is important to provide information but it has more value because of easy understanding over the data. Statistical tools can be used to convey information. The information can be presented in a tabular as well graphical form depending on the understanding. In our above example, the information can be represented in tabular as well as graphical form. When we want to show the percentage of student scored 30-40,41-50 and 50 Above we can represent it by a pie chart or in a table also but for a better understanding graphical form of presentation is always preferred over tabular form.
