Consider the titration of 25.0 mL of 0.723M HCLO4 and 0.273M KOH. What is the H+ concentration after the addition of 80.0 mL of KOH?

Reaction between KOH and HClO4:

KOH + HClO4\rightarrow KClO4 + H2O

Moes of HClO4 = Volume (in L) x molarity = 0.025 x 0.723 = 0.01807 moles

Moles of KOH added = 0.080 x 0.273 = 0.02184 moles

As we can see number of moles of KOH exceeds number of moles of HClO4. It means all the HClO4 has been consumed. Concentration of H+ ions is zero after addition 80 ml of KOH.
