If an American organization is completely new to internationalization, what approach towards culture (of the host country) is this company MOST likely to take in a new subsidiary: ignoring, minimizing or utilizing host country’s culture? Briefly explain why and also list at least one advantage and one disadvantage of using that approach.

Utilizing host country's culture is the best solution and approach for the company as it would ensure that the risk is minimum, the company would get some extra time to get settled in the international market, it will not be very difficult for the company to convince the probable customers as it would not offer something which is completely new rather it would be in the same form as the host country and people would be able to accept. It creates lesser friction and increases the adoption rate by the people. One major advantage is that the marketing budget is reduced as the company is now adopting the culture and taste of the people of the host country. One disadvantage is that the company is not able to create its own image in the market and have to do a lot of modifications because of which many times it loses its real essence.
