Answer #2

SOLUTION :

25.

4 = 4 sin^2 (x) + 3

=> 4 - 3 = 4 sin^2 (x)

=> sin^2 (x) = 1/4

=> sin (x) = +/- 1/2

So, in the interval [0, 2pi) :

When sin (x) = + 1/2 :

Positive value of sin(x) occurs in 1st and 2nd quadrants.

x = pi/6 , (pi - pi/6)

=> x = pi/6, 5pi/6

When sin (x) = - 1/2 :

Negative value of sin(x) occurs in 3rd and 4th quadrants.

x = (pi + pi/6), (2pi - pi/6)

=> x = 7pi/6, 11pi/6

So, when sin (x) = +1/2 , - 1/2

x = pi/6, 5pi/6, 7pi/6, 11pi/6 (ANSWER).
