organizational HR perspective and use of expatriates.

1. In regards to staffing: Analyze and assess what qualities, experience, education, etc. does a business need/require to effectively manage its international operations, and;

2.What are some of the challenges, obstacles, and/or constraints might a business anticipate in regards to ensuring efficiency and success in bridging home and foreign operations.

As a continuation of this question and in your assessment/opinion: Where do you see the technology industry over the next 10 years, and how might a HR department best prepare in supporting the organization in its ability to provide qualified staffing (Note: Feel free to comment on positive or negative trends as it relates to this question).

1. The behavioural qualities for a successful expatraite include global mindset, cultural exposure of the country, high degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness, willingness to explore and assimilate into new civilisations, people and cultures, good interpersonal skills, flexibility and capability to mould into new systems according to business needs. Educational qualifications should be relevant to the role taken up, preferably with an exposure to the country of migration and working experience in similar cultural settings.

2. The main challenges to bridge the home and foreign operations inclue the cultural differences between the workforce of the two countries and the different business environment and people's mindset of the two countries. The other significant factors are favorability and stability of economic, political and social conditions, conditions of law and order, growth rate, skill and knowledge potential of the country, technological capability and overall ease of doing business.

3. The technology industry is most rapidly growing and changing domain of business. The HR needs to anticipate the skill requirements of the future by using a proactive approach and doing research on the emerging trend in the industry and be prepared to live up to the changes to have an edge over competition. It must plan its staffing needs in accordance of its growth plan, attracting and retaining the best industry talent by providing them ample growth opportunities and up skilling and developing their capabilities to enable them to take up the challenges of future.
