That is lw+/lw, pr+/pr and the tester male will be the recessive one that is lw/lw,pr/pr

If we cross these two we will get those genotypes and half of them resemble the parents ,so they are parental and rest are recombinant type

b). To know if 2 Genes are linked or not without recombinant frequency we have to do chi-square ,if the result does not meet 9:3:3:1 phenotypic ratio then the genes are probably linked

c). To know the map distance between 2 Genes we can use the formula

Recombinant frequency= (recombinantoffsprings/total offsprings )*100

in the above given question a) they showed 100 recombinant offsprings and 531 total offsprings

By using that formula we will get 18.3% or we can say 18.3 centimorgans and that's the map distance between the 2 Genes

d). As all the f1 generation is wild type

The genotype of f1 female is lw+/lw , pr+/pr
