Answer #1

Swiss Franc currency was pegged to the Euro at 1.5 per Euro. But last year, the Swiss government gave up the pegged currency agreement. it led to the rise in the value of Swiss Franc witnessing a 20 % spike in its value or Franc appreciated by 20 %.

Swiss franc was undervalued and further it is considered relatively safe, thus it appreciated after dismantling of agreement.
