Solution:-

(1) IT governance is a collection of rules and policies that is used for efficient use of IT in corporate environment. IT governance defines the protocols and policies that supports the IT operations within an organization. It enables a organization to achieve it's goals by defining the support policies.It is a subset of corporate governance policies.

So we can say it is a framework which define the rules and policies to use IT efficiently and enables the organization to achieve it's goals.

IT governance defines policies to support the corporate operations and supports the organization operations so that it achieves the goals. The five major focuses of IT governance are-

(A) Efficient IT services enablement -

IT governance defines the policies to use the IT services efficiently for an organization.It defines the scope of IT services inside the organization and uses of IT services, so that organization can make efficient use of IT services and this will support the business operations to achieve defined goals.

(B) Risk management -

Risk management is a crucial concern of corporate governance and we can say of IT governance. There are ridks inside an organization related to business process and IT processes. An unmanned risk is a waste of business efforts. So it should be managed in some manner. IT governance provides solutions to manage the risk factors related to business process and IT processes.

(C) IT services management -

IT governance manages the IT services inside an organization. It defines the protocols and rules to efficiently use of IT services. It defines the policies to run the business operations with support of IT services.

(D) Delivering values to business -

It governance support the business operations so that business process executed fast and delivering required outputs.

(E) Knowledge and data management -

IT governance manages the knowledge base and database of an organization. This is a very important section of any organization which needs manages efficiently. IT governance defines the policies to efficiently and securely manage the knowledge base and database of an organization.

(3) The five key IT decision made by IT governance are -

(A) creat the business strategy and aligning the technology strategy with the business strategy.

(B) IT service enablement and define the IT constraints.

(C) identification of information technology activities, the way those activities support the goals of the business, and the people who help manage those activities.

(D) Defining the business processes in an IT environment so that process execution is fast by use of IT and supporting to achieve defined goals.

(E) Defines the decision-making rights associated with IT as well as the policies used to control the way IT decisions are made and carried out within the organization.

IT governance is very important to an organization and it's business processes. Every one want to improve it's business processes and operations so that it effectively works towards the achievement of goals. Three reasons are listed here, giving details of importance of IT governance -

(A) IT governance is defines the IT strategy aligning with business strategy so that it supports the business processes and make it efficient to achieve the desired goals.

(B) It governance Defines a structural elements which works inside an organization and create the activities and process which make business decision effective. So it supports decision making.

(C) IT Governance defines the constraints and policies to support people as well as make them authentic and responsibile. IT Governance involves establishing control mechanisms to enable people to carry out their roles and responsibilities.

Accountability is term which Defines the responsibility. In corporate environment It is an assurance that an individual or an organization will be evaluated on their performance or behavior related to something for which they are responsible.

Accountability is an term which Defines the responsibility of activities performed by individual or organization and deliver the results in proper manner.

Accountability is very important perspective inside an organization to run the organization business processes efficiently with responsibility and deliver the outputs on a transparent manner.

Critical pillars of Successful IT governance -

(A) Define efficient policies - For a successful IT governance environment it should define the governance policies are so flexible as well as some level of hard constraints. Flexible policies are easy to apply and hard constraints rules are define the role of elements of organization and their responsibilities.

(B) Monitoring progress, process and Technology -

Consistently monitor the progress and processes which are aligned with business processes and operations, so that both processes executed efficiently.

(C) Efficient IT decision -

Decisions related IT governance should be taken carefully. So that it supports the business processes not making hard to execute it.
