Prosocial behavior can be defined as any behavior which is performed with the motive of benefiting other people. The action done in the welfare of the other may be done as the means of self-interest where the person hopes to be benefitted at the same time. Hence, it forms the platform of the double reward system where both the parties enjoy benefits of the same.
Some of the factors which affect the people on helping others are:
Situational factors like in case of urgent situations certain decisions are taken as per the beneficial effect.
Individual factors like the process of socializing, emotional behavior, agreement, feelings and thoughts effects the prosocial behavior of the people.
Some of the other factors are the thoughts and believes based on religion, age factor, sex difference, and the thoughts o the communities.
Helping others has both negative as well as positive effects altogether. It creates a sense of positivity in the mind of the person. But at the same time, there are people who consider help as the medium of showing superiority over others. This creates a negative impact on people. At the time when people start showcasing their negative attributes, it becomes the reason of stress to the help speaker. The person who is being helped by others can develop the feeling of dominance over the people who had helped. It can increase the stress level and can create anxiety in his mindset.
