So it helps to remove some of the biases, provides a clear and objective view and dispels any bias due to personal experiences.
Example: If a person comes to office on time and always remains around working along side manager, so it is noticed by the manager that this person is always working. But the real impact or contribution to the work or business growth is way less. So the person might not be effectively doing his or her work. When asked about the contribution and review from others this fact could come out.
But if only manager reviews the value is exaggerated and HRs generally take Manager's word as final. But with 360 degree feedback all the facts and judgements are screened and valid facts remain. So overall review becomes way better.
