On the downstream side of the turbine, the minimum allowable flow velocity is 0.5 m/s. Overall, the volumetric flow over the waterfall and through the turbine is estimated at 6 m3/s. For the system to be economic, the fluid must transfer at least 1 MW of power to the turbine. You are concerned that the height of the waterfall will be insufficient to achieve this power transfer. In order for the system to be economic, what is the minimum acceptable height for the waterfall? (3 marks)
