C-Chart:-

c charts are used to look at variation in counting type attributes data. They are used to determine the variation in the number of defects in a constant subgroup size. Subgroup size usually refers to the area being examined.

Now formula for finding control limit of the C-Chart is as follow

here Technician = K and C = Defects

where K is the number of values  in the observation

here k= 30

now find control limit and plot the C-Chart

For PASS 1

now C chart is given as below

Comment :If we see in the above C-Chart the points 2,17,22

are the out of control because they lie above the UCL line hence we say that the points are outlier.

For PASS 2

Comment :If we see in the above C-Chart the points 2,17,22

are the out of control because they lie above the UCL line hence we say that the points are outlier.

in this problem managers does not found specific cause it is an human error that mean only 2,17,22 Technician they are not properly counting numbers of defects hence there is more defect .
