9.Disulphide bond is a covalent bond formed between two sulphur atoms.These disulphide bonds are formed when two cysteine residues are oxidised .

10.The amino acids are held together by a peptide bond in a polypeptide chain in a linear manner .This is called primary structure of a protein .

11.In a peptide backbone ,it consists of amino hydrogen and carboxyl oxygen which are connected by hydrogen bonds .This pattern of arrangement of hydrogen bonds form a secondary structure in a protein .These secondary structure form a alpha helix and beta sheets .

12.Alpha helix is one of the form of secondary structure of protein and it is a right handed helix ,it is made up of single chain of amino acid which are in twisted manner and these are connected by hydrogen bonds.

13.Beta sheets are the structures which are made up of beta strands which consists of 3 to 10 amino acids .These are in twisted manner connected by hydrogen bonds .

14.Loops also belong to the secondary structure of proteins but they are irregular in structure.

15.Turns also belong to the secondary structure of proteins but their polypeptide chain direction is opposite when compared to other secondary structure of protein .

16.It consists of a polypeptide chain which is compacted into 3 D shaped structure .In this structure R group of amino acid is interacted each other to form a protein structure.

17.Fibrous proteins are the proteins which are made up of elongated polypeptide chain .They are involved in storage and structural functions.

Alpha keratin is the fibrous protein which perform structural function .It is found in hair ,nails etc .

Collagen also belongs to fibrous protein ,it's structure is made up of three twisted polypeptide chain.It is present in connective tissue.
