Stress is defined as a pressure on mental and physical health of a person.It badly affect the systems of bodies.Stress on a long run can also cost one's life if not treated. Stress may be short term or long term.

Short term effects of Stress- Muscles of body suddenly tense up and released whon stressor gone.Breathing gets hard and faster.Heart rate increases and blood vessels dilates,nausea,vommiting are common.

Long term effect of Stress-It effects the memory of brain when becomes chronic.Long term stress increases chances of cancer.Increases heart attack chances,Weight gain gradually.Mutation in DNA may be occur due to mental stress over a long time.It also effect sexuality. Person seems to be of more age then he or she is.

Effects of stress on immune system- When an individual has stress it decreased the immune system capability to fight from diseases.Person becomes more vernurable.Example is AIDS and Coronary Heart Disease.

Fore example-A person is in stress for long time.The immune system reduced it's capability of coping with diseases.When any dangerous bacteria or viruses enters in body,immune system does not recognises and lead to chronic disease.

Effect of stress on nervous system- Long term effect of Stress causes many nervous problems.The long term memory loss,Migrane , are major effects.It also effects hormonal System.

For wxample- David is suffering from big losses in business.He is in Stress for a long time.When he tenses,the bain activates cortisol which in turn increases glucose level which when comes in excess increases chances of diabetes and increases hart attack.
