Ans.1) An anxiolytics is used to treat anxiety.

2.) Schedule IV drugs as defined by the United States Controlled Substances Act.

  • Schedule I –These drugs have high possibility for abuse. Ex. heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana.
  • ·Schedule II - These drugs have a possibility for abuse which may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence. Ex. hydromorphone, methadone, meperidine.
  • Schedule III – These drugs are quite potent to lead a moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence.Examples of Schedule III drugs are combination products containing less than 15 milligrams of hydrocodone per dosage unit (Vicodin).
  • ·Schedule IV – These drugs have a low possible for abuse relative to substances in Schedule III. Ex. alprazolam, carisoprodol, clonazepam.
