I have a question because I'm doing aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise and heart rate, 20 minute jog and 20 second dash. It turns out that aerobic exercise has a higher heart rate. Why does that happen? Who can explain it in terms of biology?

Answer #1

When the jogging is done for 20 minutes and 20 second dash, then there is deficiency of oxygen in the muscle tissue. Because for synthesising energy in the form of ATP, glucose break down occurs in presence of oxygen during aerobic respiration. Due to this deficiency in oxygen, the heart rate is increased so that it can circulate oxygenated blood to the different parts of the body. In this way, the deficiency of oxygen is overcome.

If the heart rate is not increased , then there will be accumulation of lactic acid because of anaerobic respiration.
