Answer #1

Managed relocation refers to the conservation strategy to prevent the loss of biodiversity as caused by climatic changes. Under the process, species, population are genotypes are moved to the other regions to prevent their extinction by the ongoing deterioration of climate.
This is an extreme method of conservation of biodiversity but needs the safety assurance of the species. There is the need for the development of practices that ensure that the population is successfully introduced in a new habitat which is supposed to serve the growth of the population for longer since the existing habitat's climate has been changed adversely to support the species. The decision over which species should be relocated, selection of new habitat, the study of requirements of species and their presence in new habitat are some of the issues that scientists need to deal with to ensure the successfully managed relocation.
