consider this question: Do you support the practice of Managed Relocation for climate-threatened species? Why or why not? Support your argument from your experience, your reading, and your knowledge of Conservation Science.
Managed relocation refers to the conservation strategy to
prevent the loss of biodiversity as caused by climatic changes.
Under the process, species, population are genotypes are moved to
the other regions to prevent their extinction by the ongoing
deterioration of climate.
This is an extreme method of conservation of biodiversity but needs
the safety assurance of the species. There is the need for the
development of practices that ensure that the population is
successfully introduced in a new habitat which is supposed to serve
the growth of the population for longer since the existing
habitat's climate has been changed adversely to support the
species. The decision over which species should be relocated,
selection of new habitat, the study of requirements of species and
their presence in new habitat are some of the issues that
scientists need to deal with to ensure the successfully managed
relocation.

consider this question: Do you support organic agriculture, or the suite of agricultural practices that is marketed as sustainable (e.g. grass-fed livestock, cage-free eggs and chicken)? Why or why not? How do you reconcile your choice, given that these products appear to be marketed primarily to privileged, wealthy customers who can afford it? If you are not in support of it, how do you reconcile your choice, given that agricultural production is the number one cause of species loss worldwide?

The “theory-practice gap,” as some have called it, has prevented our profession from full utilization of its knowledge base in practice, and has impeded the view of nursing as a theoretically based discipline, to its detriment. There are distinctly different viewpoints to this argument, based on the different perspectives of academics and theoreticians on the one hand and that of practitioners on the other. Being honest about your reaction, and applying critical thinking skills to the question, where do you...
You are studying black spruce (Picea mariana), which is the most dominant tree species in North American boreal forests, a. Consider climate change predictions for North America. For long-lived species such as black spruce, is phenotypic plasticity or adaptation through natural selection more likely to help this species survive in the future. Briefly explain your answer. 2 pts. You have 3 black spruce field sites that span a range of latitudes in Canada: northern (65°N), mid (60°N), and southern (55°N)....
Using the Internet and other sources, identify an environmental change caused by climate change that you want to consider and share with the class. Then, post a summary of the issue. Your submission should include: A brief review of the occurrence and why it is relevant (at least 100 words). Any quantifiable data. A hypothesis related to the cause or effect from this environmental change. At least one link to a web resource to support your post.
