Define and explain the concept of epigenetic regulation. Describe as many mechanisms of epigenetic influence of gene expression as you can and how this information can be retained through cell division and in some cases, passed along accurately to the progeny. Include a discussion of the three types of histone tail editing enzymes and the effect of the dysfunctions of these modifying enzymes. Explain the role of one of these enzymes in GTPTS (OMIM 606170).Note: Open a new browser window to access OMIM!
EPIGENETIC regulation -it is a process of regulating gene by modulating the gene rate, frequencyand extent of gene expression. but during this ,alternation of dna does not occour.epigenetic is defined as the modification in gene and it is a inherit modification that are not present in dna sequence, some example of epigenetic control are DNA methylation, histone deacetylation and mi-RNA expression.in this regulation ,no change in nucleotide sequence ocours.this epigenetic also used in development psychology in order to describe develpomental psychology,,there are several factors that might have been used to modfy epigenetic sequence ,some of these pattern are our daily diet and physical activity done by us ,some other factor are tobacco ,smoking, alcohol consuption and environmental condition also affect the gene regulation ,our lifestyle also affect this such as working nature ,or working during night time and taking ,.epigenetic modificatin or regullation are of two type one is DNA methylation and histone modification.,epigenetic is inheritable by certain mechanism but not by DNA sequence.,epigenetic is worked by the presence of some chemical that are added to chromosomes and further these chemical may switch gene on or off. epigenetic information is maintained or retained during cell division or during DNA replication
