  1. When a process closes a file, the counter in the system-wide-open-file table is decremented. In case the counter reaches zero, then the table is freed and any data currently saved in-memory cache for this file is written out to disk if needed.
  2. A logical space address is defined by the pair of base and limit registers. This logical space address in Memory Management in the operating system.
  3. A process is said to be in "Trashing" when it frequently references a page that is not in memory i.e it waits for a long time for I/O and does not get the task done.
