• 4.The War of 1812, fought between the US and Great Britain, came about because the British navy was violating American neutral trading rights and impressing American seamen. During the Napoleonic Wars, neither Great Britain nor France seemed concerned about the United States.
• The United States suffered many costly defeats at the hands of British, Canadian and Native American troops over the course of the War of 1812, including the capture and burning of the nation's capital, Washington, D.C.
• The War of 1812 was a very weird war, this war wasn’t even suppose to happen it was all just a misunderstanding, but I think that by the end of this war there were many things to take out of it. But this war was not helpful either, first of all America lost a lot of money, and this war had no point in why it even started.
• One big reason that this wasn’t a good war is because when America took over the Great Lakes all of the people from Canada got mad and came down and burned the capital and the white house, which were very important buildings. While this war was going on America was also losing many troops obviously by dying but also the British naval men taking the American sailors to work in there military. Overall the War of 1812 in my eyes solved nothing for America.
