1. It only transcribes exons

This statement is incorrect because RNA polymerase transcribes all the nucleotides present on DNA molecule, irrespective of the nucleotides being exons or introns.

RNA polymerase is a DNA dependent RNA polymerizing enzyme. It uses DNA are the template to carry out the polymerization of RNA. It is an important process in transcription which is the formation of RNA from DNA.

2. Poly A tail

Ribosome binding site is present on messenger RNA and is coded from DNA as a template.

Primase and RNA polymerase are protein enzymes which are also coded from DNA. They are folded from DNA to messenger RNA and then to proteins.

Introns are non coding sequences of DNA which are present in messenger RNA along with exons.

Poly A tail is formed in messenger RNA after messenger RNA is coded from DNA. Therefore this is not formed from DNA as a template. The addition of tail and Cap to messenger RNA is independent.

3. Ribosomes move along the mRNA in the 5’ to 3’ direction
