Answer #1

Ans a) This does not qualify for a scientific theory because it is something that is not a natural phenomenon or there is no research done to prove that the tile is gray in color. It is quite evident and a factual information which can be confirmed by simply looking at the tile. Scientific theory is basically explanation of why something happens and something that is tested to be proven right using protocols, observation and many scientific methods.

Ans b) The world is 5000 years old which is why it considered as Young Earth and this states that all the central forces and lifeform have been created due to supernatural act around 6 to 10000 years ago. However, the fossils show that they date back million of years ago and hence it shows that even 4.5 million years the Earth has capability to support life. This scientific statement can be criticized because Earth is not formed by supernatural power but due to gaseous exchange and gradual evolution of organisms.
