Quinoa is a warm season crop that requires full and bright sunlight.
Temperature is an important factor for the germination of this plant. Normally, the soil temperature should be between 18 degree to 24 degree C or 65 to 75 degree F, for the quinoa seeds to germinate. The night time temperature should be cool.Any variation in the range of temperature will hinder the germination of seeds.
Secondly, the soil should be well drained. If water accumulates in the soil, the seeds are unable to germinate.
