What kind of experiment could I do to prove that variation occurs in any species?
Suppose, there is species X. With time, it has undergone evolution and evolve into X1 and X2 species. The original species has undergone speciation because anyone or more of its genes has changed in its sequence. Suppose gene Y, has undergone changes.
X has gene Y.
X1 has gene Y1.
X2 has gene Y2.
If Y has undergone speciation, than Y1 and Y2 will be seen at different places on a gel.
The two species with doubt that have undergone is creation will show differences in the sequence of the same gene. To confirm, we will done the following experiment,
We will isolate the DNA from both the organisms.
Amplify the specific gene with you have a doubt has undergone speciation using PCR.
Now run the amplified PCR product on gel electroforesis. If speciation have occurred, then bands for the genes for both the species will occur at different positions. It will indicate their different molecular weight which is due to the change in their sequence with the course of evolution.

What kind of experiment (what kind of cross) could you perform to determine the genotype of the selected petunia plant? Explain briefly. b) How will the cross in (a) help you determine the genotype of your red-flowered petunia? That is, explain how will the results from this cross differ if the red-flowered petunia is A/A versus A/a? c) You end up choosing two red plants that are both of the genotype A/a and you cross them. If the cross produces...
a) Why do species that reproduce sexually have more genetic variation than species that reproduce asexually? b) Why is it difficult to use genetics to predict exactly how tall someone will be? c) Many prokaryotes reproduce asexually using binary fission. Why is it impossible for a prokaryote to use the process of meiosis for reproduction? d) Monosomy is a genetic disorder. In this disorder, a person receives one gamete that has is missing a chromosome. This gives the person one...

Conditional probability. In an experiment with species A. pub and A. ali. Fungus could infect seeds of the two types of species, and at different rates. Species A. pub has fungus 25% of the time, while A.ali has fungus 50% of the time. Then randomly a subject selects a seed of one species. 1.What is the probability that it has the fungus. a.Calculate this using a probability tree b. Calculate with the law of total probability. Write that equation. c....
