Choline deficient diet caused progressive hepatic disease much like seen in humans with fatty liver -  steatosis → fibrosis →cirrhosis → hepatocellular carcinoma and the progression from fatty liver to hepatocarcinoma.

MECHANISM:-

1.The mechanism responsible for the development of fatty liver  in choline deficiency is related to the synthesis of very-low-density lipoprotein which is the primary package within which triglycerides are secreted from the .

2.some people have Common genetic polymorphisms in the genes of choline metabolism are develop hepatic dysfunction when deprived of choline and have abnormal plasma metabolomic profiles.

Liver disease is increasingly in patients with diabetes— nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. Hepatic dysfunction is an acute or chronic subclinical cellular disturbance but can progress to life-threatening hepatic failure with multiple organ system.
