Can we always see a release of two water molecules in a double condensation reaction ?
Condensation reaction is the one where 2 reactants react to form products with the elimination of water molecule or other simple molecules. Double condensation reaction doesn't always mean that there should be elimination of 2 water molecules. It can be one water molecule and other simple molecule as well. The simple molecules eliminated also depends on the type of the reactants used for the condensation reaction.

The Claisen condensation converts 2 molecules of an ester into a ?-keto ester. The reaction starts with the ester in an alkoxide/alcohol solution and is worked up with acid to form the neutral ?-keto ester product. Please show what goes in each box!! What I put shown below are all incorrect. The Claisen condensation converts 2 molecules of an ester into a β-keto ester. The reaction starts with the ester in an alkoxide/alcohol solution and is worked up with acid...
