Classissm do exists in the society amy tan lives in.Classism is aprejudice or discrimination on the basis of social class.It includes individual attitudes,behaviours,system of policies and practices that are set to benifit the upper class at the benefit of lower class.Example of classism among working class includes they are more prejudiced towards ethinic minorities and immigrants as economic threat while hight educated people also believe that they are threat to them if they are highly educated ""The british journal of social psychology says that"".These people believe that that these immigrant workers and ethinic minorities will become a threat to their job and they may loose their job.

Marx saw religion as " soul of soulless conditions" the opium of the people .At the same time marx saw religion as a form of protest by the working class aganist their poor economic conditions and their alienation.No religion is officially reconganized in china since china is ruled by communist part of china however the four major religions in china includes buddhism,taoism ,islam ,and christanity. Article 36 of the chinese constitution says that citizens enjoy freedom of religion.It bans discrimination based on religion and forbids state organs ,public organisations ,or individuals from compelling citizens to believe in or not believe in any particular faith,.Communist religion ideology doest not believe in any particular god .They believe that their is no need of middleman between immaterial objects and human beings which have no influence on the living beings or the immaterial things.Marxist religion ideology deos not exist america since marxist believe in the abolition of religion .Further in china constitution further forbids the use of religionto engage in activities that disrupt social order,impair the health of citizens or interfere with the educational system of the state
