Employee performance management is fundamental to the effective operation of organizations. Performance management is an integral part of the employee's and organizations' relationships. It is essentially an integrating activity that permeates every facet of the operations of an organization.

The above-stated process can be supported by the HR as it is the department that deals with the performance management and the selection and training and development of the manpower in the organization. By hiring the right candidates for the right position, matching the candidate’s skill and capabilities with the organizational culture, facilitating the manpower proper training and developmental opportunities, HR plays a significant role

HR also keeps the track of the employee performance by doing regular performance evaluation exercise and after this, the employees can be provided training in the areas where they need to improve. This will help in improving the performance of the entire firm.
