Organizations can achieve their goals and objectives only through the combined efforts of their employees and it is the task of management to get work done. Employee performance management is fundamental to the effective operation of organizations. Performance management is an integral part of the employee's and organizations' relationships. It is essentially an integrating activity that permeates every facet of the operations of an organization.

The above-stated process can be supported by the HR as it is the department that deals with the performance management and the selection and training and development of the manpower in the organization. By hiring the right candidates for the right position, matching the candidate’s skill and capabilities with the organizational culture, facilitating the manpower proper training and developmental opportunities, HR plays a significant role

HR also keeps the track of the employee performance by doing regular performance evaluation exercise and after this, the employees can be provided training in the areas where they need to improve. This will help in improving the performance of the entire firm.

The three important things that are changing the business world are stated below=

Use of IT in the business operations = With the development of the technology and spread of Information Technology is almost every walk of our lives, the business is also not unaffected by the increased use of IT in the various processes and activities. As there is the pressure of growing use of IT and technology, the organization needs to have the manpower which is efficient in managing the changes in the technology, deal with the pressure that is being exerted by this trend and how they cope up with the development in the technical field.

HRM can be quite effective in dealing with this issue as they will have to elect those candidates who are adept with the technology. If there is a change in technology, training and development opportunities will make the employees be ready to deal with the new changes.

Diversity= Diversity is the other aspect of the new form of business in which the organizations are trying to include people from different backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicity in its manpower. The main logic of doing so it the concept that this will add value to their thinking process and will create new dimensions of dealing with different issues and problems by introducing the varied opinion and perspectives of looking at the problem.

HRM will assist the organization by making the employees accommodating and respecting the people of different backgrounds rather than being involved in stereotyping or any sort of discrimination. The HR can provide the training to the employees on cultural diversity, make the people more aware of the varied backgrounds and thus improving the acceptance of the people with a diversity

Globalization= This is the other element that is affecting the business in a great deal. With the increased globalization, the entire world has become a small village. The change in one country has an impact on the other country due to the interconnected nature of business and economy. The business is also exposed to increased competition and thus they have to be on their toes all the time.

The HR practices can make the organization more competitive in the new globalized world economy as the firms can be more futuristic and the HR can provide the training and development time to time, more candidates or employees who can prove assets to the organization and looking at the future need of the talent in the firm to deal with the different issues imposed by globalization.
