A substance abuse means we use a drug or any other medicine in a continuous form. This type of repeated use interferes with our health perspectives. It affects our social relationships. It also impacts our working style. Marijuana is one such substance which are mostly thought to be linked with substance abuse.

It is being derived from Cannabis indica plant's leaves. It impairs short term memory and sometimes long term memories in case of overdose. It negatively impacts the capability to focus. It also hampers the ability to make a coordination.

It increases heart rate. It is also related with generation of psychosis like situation. Some depressants are also remain associated with substance abuse. These are mainly used as a medication for the treatment of stress. Phenobarbitol is one such drug which is being used for inducing sleep.

Some muscle relaxants are also used for reducing symptoms of anxiety. These medications have impacts on brain activity. Their overdose/abuse may cause poor concentration. These also cause lowering of blood pressure.

Methylphenidate is a drug which is being used as a stimulant. This cause hyper attention. It also increases energy level. Repeated use of stimulants may cause situations like psychosis. Opium/Opioids are drugs which are associated with pain relaxation.It makes a person happy. It's overdose/abuse may put a person in situation of comma.

Physical addiction is caused by chronic use of any substance. It is a condition in which if a person tries abrupt withdrawal then unpleasant physical experiences may appear. Tolerance develops at cellular level. In the process of tolerance; the enzymes of body become habitual and which causes no firing at cellular level.

Hence, no response is being generated. Withdrawal are associated with unpleasant physical and mental conditions. It happens after sudden stopping of drug taking process.
