Karrie Lucero, Motivation of research workers in a sales team, with sales members meeting just 37% of their revenue target in 2019. Monetary compensation has been provided in the form of sales fee arrangements, tiered fees, bonus, management-based targets and sales success rewards. Non-financial incentives such as tangible prizes, club membership, extra payments, sport event entertainment passes, movies, concerts, award functions etc.., vouchers for travel, electronic products such as eReader, iPad, iPhone etc..  The findings of the research include that about 69% of the sales reps met their sales targets and revenue goals of the organization after sales team motivation compared to 37% earlier.

Meagan Weekes, 2018 discusses that employee motivation is a crucial element of organization productivity and the key to good management. Motivated employees have high self-esteem and feel they are recognized and valued in the organization. Employee commitment improves as a result of motivation. The external motivators that influence the employee in an organization include the compensation package with benefits, health benefits to cover their hospitalization expenses, employee incentive programs to reward them and employment policies. The internal motivators that influence the employee include public recognition, annual banquet, an employee of the month and other recognition programs to give the feeling that the employee is valued in an organization. Employee motivation is ensured through annual review in a transparent manner addressing the personal needs of the employee like a flexible work schedule to take care of a disabled member in the family increases job satisfaction and employee loyalty to a great extent.

Prachi Juneja, 2018 states that motivation is vital for organizational success. Motivation drives human resource to achieve the goals of the organization. Motivation improves the efficiency level of the employees, reducing the operating cost, increasing productivity and improves the overall efficiency of the organization. Motivation leads to goal achievement, develops a cooperative workplace, the best utilization of resources, develops employee coordination and develops a friendly relationship with management. The important role of motivation in the workplace is that it brings employee satisfaction through incentives (monetary and non-monetary), employee promotion, transparent performance appraisal, bonus, gifts etc. As a result of such motivation, employees become adaptable to change with their individual interests coinciding with the interests of the organization. Overall, the entire organization will experience increased productivity and profit maximization through motivation. Employee turnover reduces as a result of motivation. Motivation helps in developing a stable and loyal workforce. From an employee perspective, motivation helps in self-development, achieving personal career goals, developing pride, more job satisfaction and becoming a dynamic team member. From an organization perspective, motivation helps in developing empowered teams, increased profits, business success, bringing successful change, promoting creativity in the workplace and developing an optimistic attitude in the workplace.
