Guest Operating System: Ubuntu
Web Server: Apache
Steps:

computer with URL as network address of the network card in guest operating
system
Questions:
1. What is the name of the directory holding virtual machine information? What is
the size of this directory?
2. What is the purpose of the files with suffix .vmdk (for VMWare Player) or .vdi
(for virtual box)?
3. What is the IP address of the host computer (issue command “ipconfig /all” from
windows CLI)?
4. What is the IP address of the virtual machine (issue command “ifconfig –a” from
ubuntu terminal)?
Deliverables:
Answer to the questions AND screenshot to support your answer. Please submit
both hard copy and electronic copy on due date. You only need to submit one
copy from each team.
127.0.0.1 is running well
Answer 1
***********
it is where the vdi file stores we can keep it anywhere in our drives during installation steps
Answer 2
***********
purpose of vdi is to keep hard drive virtual so we can take that vdi file to any of the computer and we can install virtual box and use that already installed apache2 without wasting all the steps and time.
Virtual Machine Disk [vmdk] is virtual hard drive made under VMware application which we can also import in virtual box
Answer 3 & 4
****************
virtual box is using virtual network interface so IP address is different then host OS.
if you have any doubt then please ask me without any hesitation in the comment section below , if you like my answer then please thumbs up for the answer , before giving thumbs down please discuss the question it may possible that we may understand the question different way and we can edit and change the answers if you argue, thanks :)
