Answer #1

Answer: Triclosan is an antibacterial and antifungal agent that is present in our day to day products like toothpaste, detergents, soaps and many antimicrobial cleaning agents. Triclosan and triclocarban are in higher percentage in our washing soaps.

The use of triclosan and other chemical agents in antimicrobial products should not continue. Although triclosan has very good antimicrobial properties, it is not acceptable because triclosan affects the endocrine system of our body. It causes hormonal imbalance in our body. Disinfectant like Lysol contains a pesticide that is dangerous to human being s as well. Alcohol being a major percentage in disinfectant is poisonous for our body.
