Least square regression analysis statistics is best statistic analysis for finding the relationship between variables.

Scatterplot + correlation analysis + regression analysis would tell you if, what and how good is the relationship between two variables.

For example:

Correlation coefficient (r) tell us how close the relationship and explains whether the relationship is positve or negative

There is a perfect positive linear relationship between the variable Minutes and calories

r = 0.99
