Answer

Individuals don't have duty to sacrifice for the sake of others. Unless there is a serious requirements and a strong relationship bond between the persons. For example: parents sacrifice their earnings to save their child who met with accident because they love him and want him to stay safe and also to support them in life. It's not a duty but, it's out of love and relationships that a person decides to sacrifice something. Considering the social exchange theory, which states that individual analyse cost and benefits for taking certain decisions which needs sacrifice. He always intends to maximize benefits and minimise costs.
