Answer #1

Answer1(b)

Electron transport chain has five complexes. In this chain high energy electron from NADH and FADH2 to convert ADP into ATP.proton are pumped across the membrane.Complex 2 is known as succinate Q Oxidoreductase it has not enough energy to pump proton out of the mitochondria.

Answer 2(a)

Beside pyruvate NADH from glycolysis is needed in a later stage of aerobic respiration. In glycolysis 2 ATP gain and 2 NADH.pyruvate enter into citric acid cycle but not directly.

Answer 3(d)

From fermentation there is 2 ATP are formed .These 2 ATP are formed during glycolysis.it is anaerobic respiration takes place in the absence of oxygen fermentation occur in the cytoplasm two type of fermentation one is lactic acid fermentation and another is alcoholic fermentation.

Answer 4(b)

alpha ketoglutarate enzyme in citric acid cycle has same 5 coenzymes as pyruvate dehydrogenase complex.5 coenzymes are CoA,NAD,FAD,lipomide, thiamine).

Answer 5(a)

Coenzyme A accepts and transfer acetyl group as it loses it disulphide bridge.oxaloacetate combine with acetyl CoA form citrate,in the  presence of citrate synthase and it loses HSCoA.Thus transfer acetyl group.
