As bank manager specific skills, knowledge and abilities required are as follows-

  1. Verbal communication skills should be excellent because at this job you have to interact with customers and employees on daily basis and sometimes you have to convince them for some work.
  2. Leadership skills are also very important to possess because you are head of your branch and every employees within the branch works under you so you should have leadership skills to make them to work as a team. Motivate employees for better results.
  3. Management skills means managing the bank effectively and efficiently and managing employees is also required for betterment of company’s growth and success.
  4. Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, economics are required as a bank manager because these subjects are came in into day to day work and decision making is based on these subject’s knowledge. How deep knowledge of these subjects defines your decisions effectiveness.
  5. Customer service skills- as a manager I have to deal with customers on daily basis so making them satisfy is very important. And as we all know any business cannot run without customers so satisfying them is very important. As a manager its your responsibility that no customer go without being satisfied.
  6. Listening skills- it is very important skill which every person must have because listening other’s viewpoint you cannot make decision and not able to understand what they think about particular topic.
  7. Technological skills- technological knowledge is very important now these days because work done digitally and through digital equipment. So not having techno logical devices proper knowledge can be risky.
  8. Marketing skills- as a manager you should know how to market and sell your bank’s product to the customer and realize them the product’s value in their life.
  9. Time management- it is important for every individual because time is very crucial and managing it effectively is very important for growth and success.

These above mentioned skills are very important to possess because if an employee do not have these skills then the business cannot run successfully in long run. I am working at this job so I can relate to these skills.
