Why are decisions, based solely on emotions, a bad thing, and give a contemporary example from today’s social media
Decisions which are made solely based upon one's emotions can hinder rational thinking and viewing the issue from different angles. This can be seen from the example of social media where individuals do not think twice before sharing private matters with people they don't actually know, which can cause this information to be used against them. Moreover, it can be seen that this information can cause them to be defamed and can be a threat to their emotional and social security. If one has thought about this in a rational manner without being motivated by their emotions, they would have ensured that certain matters are not meant to be shared. Another example is that of spreading hate comments without thinking about the consequences that it would create to a person or a group. This is due to irrational decision making and poor control over venting one's emotions.
