All the corporate data are kept on the file servers and not on the client PC because in client-server architecture there is too much congestion in the network, and also the client-server architecture is not robust, if the server fails then the whole system would go down.

It is also very costly to be managed and for the installation.

Whereas in file server system allows the serving, sharing as well as storing of the files. It also helps in many other aspects like allowing the employees to work from home, share information within the employees. As it provides the benefit of mobility, collaboration as well as sharing of the information. The setup and configuration is being done centrally and hence doesn't incur much of the cost of installation or configuration.

The backup in file server can be done on a regular basis or on the time provided by the company which can help to protect the data securely.

If there are a huge amount of transactions done on each day then a backup is to be done on a regular basis to avoid any data loss.
