Social media has now become a part of every individuals life due to the fast speed internet and easy access. Social media has a huge influence in everybody's life and plays an important role. It has now become the source of self esteem of people. It is both- boon and bane.

ADVANTAGES:

EASY ACCESS TO INFORMATION: Due to social media, many pages have now become the hub of debates where every individual can get a chance to participate and get informed about events without going anywhere or opening newspaper or news channel.

HUB OF TALENTS: Social media has given a platform to all those people who aspire to showcase their talents and make a name of themselves. Talents like poetry, music, dance along with many other unique talents can easily be found on these social platforms.

KEEPS CONNECTED: Social media has given a chance to be connected with your loved ones. Finding an individual on Facebook can let you connect with your long lost friends.

USE IN BUSINESS: Business use them to promote and branding which can lead them Landing a lot of customers in a very short time.

DISADVANTAGES:

HACKING: Hacking is very easy for professional hackers who can hack your social media handle and use it for wrong purposes and to extract information about individuals.

CYBERBULLYING: Cyberbullying is very common. People humiliate other individuals without having remorse. This can have a negative influence on the child and disturb mental health.

SOURCE OF SELF ESTEEM: The number of likes an individual gets on his/her picture is assumed to be equally proportionate go the individual being likable or poor.
