Answer #1

Mendelian first law of inheritance- law of dominance- states that in diploid condition, when two forms/alleles of a trait are present, the one which is dominant will be expressed above the recessive one. This law very well applies to mitosis as well as meiosis. In fact, it applies to all diploid organisms where homologous chromosomes are present carrying alleles of the same gene.

The second law of inheritance-Law of segregation, only applies to meiosis as it is related to gamete formation. The law states that during gamete formation, the alleles of a gene segregate such that each gamete carries exactly one allele of the gene.
