Successful labor contract bargaining should no longer be viewed as an art. It is far more appropriate today to refer to it as a science. Agree/Disagree and give reasons.

Successful labor contract bargaining is both an art and science, however, in today's era, it is viewed as more science than art. It is a well-known fact that a bargaining process with labor requires the ability to maintain a dialogue, sensitivity to cultural difference, and a few psychological skills. But, these skills are not enough to have a successful labor contract bargaining as several methods, theories, and concepts are also applied to reach a successful bargain. Several theories and methods such as behavioral theory, game theory, integrative theory, and processional theory, are applied to reach a bargain. These theories and methods help to understand many factors such as complexity to the bargaining process, the position of the management and options available. These theories help the organization to reach a win-win situation. Therefore, it can be concluded that successful labor bargaining is more science than art, especially in today's scenarios.
