Answer #1

A. A decrease in insulin/glucagon ratio.

The insulin and glucagon has an indirect effect on the synthesis of fatty acids The insulin glucagon ratio is said to control carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. The insulin is anabolic whereas glucagon acts as a catabolic hormone. The decrease in the insulin - glucagon ratio leads to stimulation of nutrients. It also promotes gluconeogenesis and glycogenesis leading to synthesis of fatty acids and glycerol from the adipose tissues for energy. Therefore, also loosing excess weight (ketogenesis).

Hope this helps you. All the best!:)
